Manufacturing Quoting Software Built for Metalworking
Quote sheet metal, laser cutting, tube and profile, CNC machining and assemblies from one workflow. Our quoting software for manufacturing turns CAD geometry and your production rules into a costed offer your team can review and send.
Quotation Factory is manufacturing quoting software for metalworking companies. It reads CAD and drawing files, estimates material and operations for sheet metal, laser cutting, tube and profile, CNC machining, surface treatment and assemblies, then applies configurable prices and connects confirmed quotes to ERP and CAM systems.

Trusted by metalworking manufacturers across Europe

Quoting gets harder as the number of parts and processes grows.
RFQs arrive in mixed formats
CAD files, flat drawings and customer notes need sorting before an estimator can decide what to manufacture and price.
Costs are spread across spreadsheets
Material rates, machine time, setup, outsourced processes and margins live in different places. Rebuilding a complete estimate takes time.
Expert judgment is hard to scale
A skilled estimator knows which operations belong to each part, but RFQ volume can increase faster than the team can review every detail.
An accepted quote starts another task
If the quote is disconnected from ERP and CAM, staff enter the same parts and operations again before production can begin.
Put every manufacturing estimate on the same foundation.
Use one automated quoting system to analyze the incoming files, identify the work required and calculate costs from your configured shop rules. Estimators stay in control of the final offer while shared rates and workflows make the starting point consistent.
CAD-based geometry analysis
Process-specific costing
Assemblies and BOMs
ERP and CAM integration
Manufacturing quoting across your real production mix.
Sheet metal and laser
Estimate sheet use with quote-level nesting and calculate cutting, piercing, bending and tooling using configured machine and material rules.
Tube and profile
Calculate tube laser, sawing and additional profile operations from the geometry and section data in the job.
CNC machining
Include machining setup and cycle estimates for parts that require milling, turning or other configured CNC operations.
Assemblies and BOMs
Break down multi-level assemblies into components and joining operations, then roll their costs into one offer.
Finishing and external work
Add surface treatments, finishing steps and supplier costs to the quote without losing visibility into each line.
Connected systems
Keep sales, estimating and production aligned through the Edge Connector and supported ERP and CAM integrations.
From customer RFQ to a reviewed manufacturing quote
One quoting platform across the shop floor
A manufacturer rarely sells one isolated operation. Follow a process below to see how Quotation Factory calculates it, then combine the relevant steps in the same customer quote.
Laser cutting
Calculate cut paths, piercings, machine time and quote-level sheet use.

Include nesting, bending and tooling alongside laser, punch or plasma operations.
Explore sheet metal quotingTube and profile
Quote profile cutting, tube laser work, sawing and related operations.

Add machining setup, cycle and material costs under your shop rules.
Explore cnc machining quotingAssemblies
Cost components, subassemblies and joining operations from a BOM.
Explore assemblies quotingStart with the files customers already send
STEP and JT models, DXF and DWG drawings, and supporting PDFs can enter the same RFQ. A detailed 3D model offers more geometry for automatic analysis; missing dimensions or material specifications can be reviewed before a quote is issued.
Set material catalogs, machine parameters, labor rates, setup times, margins and customer-specific pricing once. Your team can still review and adjust the final estimate.
For example, a mixed RFQ may contain a laser-cut cover, a machined bracket and a welded frame. The cover needs sheet utilization and cutting rules; the bracket needs machining time; the frame needs its component and joining costs. They belong in one customer offer, with the assumptions visible to the estimator.
Continue beyond the quote
The Edge Connector connects confirmed quotes to supported ERP and CAM systems such as Ridder IQ, MKG, Bemet and TruTops Fab. Integration is configured for the tools you already use.
For customers who submit their own files, the optional Self-Service Portal provides a guided request and order experience. Your rules determine the offer they can receive.
The same structure also helps when an RFQ changes. Instead of starting a new spreadsheet, your team can revisit the affected parts and review the updated cost lines before sending a revised offer. The quote remains a commercial decision, with the calculation work organized underneath it.
What to look for in manufacturing quoting software
When you compare quoting software for manufacturing, test it against your own RFQs. Quote automation only helps if it follows your rules.
- CAD and drawing formats: STEP, JT, DXF, DWG and PDF in the same RFQ.
- Your own machine, material and rate data, not generic benchmarks.
- Nesting for material use at quote level.
- ERP and CAM integration, so accepted quotes are not typed in again.
- A customer portal for requests that customers submit themselves.
- Setup in max. 1 month, scoped around your rates and processes.
Excel vs manufacturing quoting software
Spreadsheets are useful for simple rate tables. When an RFQ crosses several parts, operations and people, the work around the formulas matters just as much as the formulas themselves.
| Step | Excel | Quotation Factory |
|---|---|---|
| CAD analysis | Estimator reads and measures each file | Geometry is analyzed in the shared RFQ workflow |
| Cost calculation | Formulas and allowances copied between sheets | Configured material and process rules applied by job |
| Quote review | Versions live in files and email | Team reviews the itemized estimate before sending |
| Production handoff | Accepted order typed into other systems | Confirmed quote details can move through the Edge Connector |
