We have finished a major refactoring with the aim to support processing of large assemblies. We’ve successfully tested with STEP files of assemblies up to 700Mb. Assemblies with over 1400 unique parts were handled seamlessly.
Additionally, the recognition engine is now a separate service. This opens up the possibility to use the recognition engine independent of the Quotation Factory platform. The service a fully auto-scalable and runs on a Kubernetes cluster.
With this result we will start doing some performance tests on high end GPU based machines. This might result in major performance improvements.
